XII International Grain Round 'Grain market - yesterday, today, tomorrow'

took place XII International Grain Round «Grain market – yesterday, today, tomorrow» in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Territory

At the Round there were393representatives from13countries including Russia, Switzerland, Germany, France, Great Britain, USA, Egypt, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.

The first session “Government and grain market” was moderated by the Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar TerritoryEvgeny Gromyko.

In the frameworks of the Round problems of legislative securing and state regulation of grain market, production prognosis, price dynamics and grain market situation were discussed, as well as the use of new production technologies, grain proceeding and storing, transport and financial infrastructure development. Special attention was paid to competitiveness potential of grain industry and main directions of technological modernization as well as to credit problems, new instruments of commodity financing and grain business insurance.

The first session Government and grain market started with a detailed report concerning strategy of Russian agrarian sector development in the period of 2012-2020 made bySergey Sukhov,Deputy Director of the Food, proceeding industry, agrifood market regulation and production quality department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Particular interest among the participants caused the report made byAndrey Tsyganov,Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation, covering competition at grain market.

Regional approach to mechanisms of grain market management was demonstrated in the presentation ofVladimir Volkov, Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region.

The session was closed by the President of the Russian Grain UnionArkady Zlochevskiywith his presentation covering the topic Government and grain market: business view.

Particular interest caused the report of the Round sponsor, Head of Public Relations Department of KAMAZDenis Sukhov, where he displayed economic efficiency of grain trucking in comparison with other transport modes.

In the upshot of the report there was an exhibition presentation of transport machinery and equipment for agriculture by KAMAZ demonstrated. After thatshow cocktailfor participants by KAMAZ was organized at the open ground of the hotel Gelendzhik Resort & Spa where the Round participants had an outstanding opportunity to practice the KAMAZ machinery.

The third session Results of the outgoing and prognoses of a new grain season: production, balance and situation was opened byDr.hristian Bickert, Director of DLG-Mitteilungen with the topic covering world grain market in new season and influence of financial markets.

The XII International Grain Round Grain market yesterday, today, tomorrow was solemnly closed on June 08 with thegala-dinnerorganized at the outdoor pool territory of the hotel Gelendzhik Resort & Spa.

Along with the saturated business program of the Round onJune 09there wasa trip to Novorossiysk Grain Terminalorganized, where the participants familiarized with transport infrastructure, basic shipping capacities of the terminal as well as with the complex sea multiplier.
